New Domain: PrecinctsReporting.com
I registered a new domain that will be useful for the NYC site and any other regional sites: PrecinctsReporting.com. The NYC site will be http://nyc.precinctsreporting.com. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue but on the plus side it is a very common phrase on election night TV coverage.

Street View
Google Street View comes to HowSFVotes/HowNYCVotes. Yea!
This helps you answer the question, What's up with that little area of blue in the surrounding sea of red? Turn on Street View and go to the blue area. Chances are you will see a difference in the street-scape between the red and blue areas: perhaps the difference is in the people you see on the street, perhaps in the fanciness of houses, etc. Or seeing an image of the block you have visited long ago might jog your memory.
Street View integration is a highly requested feature of the Google Maps Flex API. I always assumed that Google would eventually get around to implementing it in the API and I could just flip a switch to turn it on. Unfortunately they still haven't implemented it. I got bored of waiting and decided to roll my own implementation. It's pretty slick if I do say so myself.
